Selsbergsleden

Selsbergsleden
Welcome up to Selsberget, one of Vännäs best viewpoints with a fantastic view of the Ume River!
The mountain's peak is 233 meters above sea level and is reached via the approximately 7.5 kilometer long Selsbergsleden trail, which starts at Högås community center.

From the start of the trail and the parking lot at the community center, it is about a 3-kilometer hike to the viewpoint. There is a shelter with a barbecue area and an outdoor toilet. The trail goes up the mountain along both old and new paths and passes clearings, mixed forest, pine forest, rock outcrops and bogs.

Up on the mountain there is an approximately 2-kilometer long circular loop that passes both the shelter and the Djupmyrberget rest area. The trail then continues down the mountain along the same stretch that leads up to the top.

The Selsbergsleden trail is a summer trail and is marked with orange paint on trees and posts. Blue signs with white text, symbols and kilometer indications will help you find your way.

During the winter, a snowmobile trail goes up to the shelter. It is marked with posts with red crosses.

Have a nice trip and remember to follow the right of way to reduce disturbance to wildlife and nature!
