In the summer of 2025, the "fishfluencer"/content creator Nadine Eriksdotter and photographer/content creator Amanda Sveed will explore Vännäs with all their senses in the concept Vännäs Makes Sense. Those following along will primarily see Nadine in front of the camera but also catch glimpses of Amanda as she documents how Vännäs feels, tastes, looks, smells, and sounds.

When Vännäs surpassed 9,000 residents (in 2022), the Vännäs municipality launched the campaign Vännäs 9000, along with the podcast Filippa Discovers Vännäs. In this 10-episode series, you’ll follow host Filippa as she meets various Vännäs enthusiasts and learns more about what makes this place great and unique.

Swedish name: Utanför stan - ett matäventyr med Alfred & Rut
In 2021, you could join Alfred and his dog Rut as they explored and dined their way through the municipalities surrounding Umeå. In Vännäs, they visited Selsberget and the Tunnelutloppet at Fällforsen, while treating viewers to the "Västerbotten Sandwich" and luxurious French Toast.
