Linné Road in Jämteböle
The Linné Route is a 7.7 km long hiking trail between V Spöland and Jämteböle. The route is part of the old inland road that Carl von Linné traveled on his Lapland journey in 1732. On May 26 of that year, he spent the night in Jämteböle, about which he wrote in the book Carl Linneaus's Lapland Journey 1732.
The entire stretch of road has been upgraded by clearing, ditching, removing stones, new road drums and filling in gravel material. Three nice barbecue huts have been built after it.
The project to upgrade the road was initiated by Spölands Byamän who collaborated with Jämteböle Byamän. The inauguration took place in the summer of 2004.
At the exit from Jämtebölevägen towards Spöland, a large orientation board with signposts is set up.
