Clothing Swap Week
Location: Vännäs Library, Kulturtorget
Date: April 20–24
The Swedish Society for Nature Conservation’s big clothing swap day is on April 18. During week 17, you can swap clothes at the library! It’s a fun, social, and free activity that’s also good for the environment. Clothes you no longer use can become new and fun for someone else. The clothes get a longer life, and we help the environment.
During the week, you can also see an exhibition on the theme of reuse, created by Elizabeth Westerlund, founder of the company Skamlös Design.
Here’s how it works:
• Drop off a maximum of 5 seasonal items of clothing. It’s important that the clothes are intact, clean, and not faded or worn. For each item you drop off, you’ll receive a ticket, which you can exchange for a new item.
• You can drop off your clothes in advance, starting Friday, April 17 (during the library’s staffed hours). The actual clothing swap takes place April 20–24. You can also drop off clothes during these days.
• We accept children’s, women’s, and men’s clothing. We do not accept shoes, bags, or accessories.
• We do not accept clothing from Shein or Temu.
• The clothing will be located at Kulturtorget, the room next to the Vännäs Library. Clothing drop-off and exchange take place at the library’s information desk.
Clothing that no one chooses will be donated to a second-hand store.
